Founded in 2015, GLS LAW COLLEGE LAC has a striking history of responding to the legal needs of the less privileged. In furtherance of the same, GLS LAW COLLEGE LAC is a clinic orchestrated to help achieve justice for the indigent and weaker sections of the society. It aims on providing comprehensive legal aid, legal advice as well as legal literacy in order to avail every citizen to have an equal and reasonable access to justice.
With a belief that 'Justice can never be pursued, instead it is always a task to be achieved', GLSLC LAC strives to work dynamically for raising the competence bar of the budding legal professionals and also upgrading the general level of legal awareness and assistance of the people.
The clinic provides advice and assistance by two methods as of now. It is working under two campaigns namely The Legal Literacy to Literates and Free Legal assistance to the poor and indigent sections of the society.

The Legal Aid Clinic of GLS Law College conducted an awareness campaign in Blind People’s Association, Ahmedabad on account of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. The campaign majorly focused on the Rights and Benefits available to the Visually Impaired, taking into light “The Protection of Persons with Disability Act, 2016”.

Sequel of Lex Juris Scienticia Quiz competition organised by Legal Aid Clinic of GLS Law College under it's campaign "Legal Literacy to Literates” to remark the celebration of 10th International Justice Day on 17th July, 2019.With the aim to enlighten the students of law to the concepts and doctrines of the constitution and other important laws.
The Lex Juris Scienticia was enlightened with the gracious presence of Hon’ble Justice R.R. Tripathi, Former Judge of Gujarat High Court. The chief guest opened up with law aspirants with the role media plays in accordance with the Judiciary. One cannot categorize every case in the frame of pendency.

GLS Law College Legal Aid Clinic organised an in campus quiz competition under it's campaign "Legal literacy to literates"on 17th July, 2018, on the occassion of International justice day. With the aim to enlighten the students of law to the concepts and doctrines of the constitution and other important laws, the LAC framed the rounds of the competition in such a manner as to giving comprehensive knowledge to all the participants as well as the audience. The Lex juris scienticia was enlightened with the presence of Judge Shree Jyotsna Yagnik. The chief guest explained to the students of law, the importance of legal aid in the field of law and the international perspective of free legal services. Dr. Yagnik also enlightened the audience with reference to alternative dispute resolution system and the importance of the same and emphasised upon it's usage as the emerging system in the field of law. She also presented facts and figures as to increasing usage of ADR by the commercial corporations. The quiz so organised concerned with constitution and team "Theta" emerged victorious out of the four teams in the final of the competition.

The GLS LAW COLLEGE LEGAL AID CLINIC conducted legal awareness camp on 23 June,2018 at Jeevansandhya Old Age home in Ahmedabad under the guidance and leadership of Principal Dr. Mayuri H. Pandya.
Under the said campaign, the senior citizens were made aware regarding their rights and privileges. Moreover an advocate accompanied the team of LAC in order to give on the spot legal advice to the senior citizens.

The GLS LAW COLLEGE LAC organized "LEGAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN" in regards to voting rights with the approaching elections. The 15 member committee went to Lakhudi and GulbaiTekra slum areas and explained to them the importance of their voting rights and also what all can they get to know about the candidate. Several problems of the slum community were taken down and effective measures for the same were sought under the regular working sessions of the LAC.

The Students of GLS Law College LAC under the guidance and initiative of Senior Advocate Mr. Sudhir Nanavati, pledged for "FREE LEGAL GUIDANCE AND AID" to the people of Bakrol village which has been adopted by Mr Sudhir Nanavati. The students on monthly basis visit the village to support and guide the illiterate population of the village.

The clinic, with its inception has started working very hard in the legal literacy to Literates campaign. It has been holding exhibitions, in order to make the students of other institutions known about their rights and duties. Also the students at GLSLC LAC have actively organized a "know your Laws" exhibition in- house at the campus and was inaugurated by Former High Court Justice Mr. S.M. Soni sir and students of various institutions were provided knowledge about their rights and duties and their special rights with respect to dispute and the redressed system inclusive of the filing stage itself. Students of GLS Law College LAC organized in house exhibition on the topic "KNOW YOUR LAWS" with a motive to acquaint the students of other institutes inside the campus of GLS University. The student members of the LAC explained the procedures and basis of laws ranging from the PCPNDT Act to the Cyber Crime and Cyber Security laws.
